Reminders and more fun stuff…

A Few Reminders:

  • TOMORROW:  Wed. 5/16… 3 Year Old Class PIZZA FIELD TRIP 10:30
  • NO SCHOOL on 5/23 – 3 YR. OLD CONFERENCE DAY.
  • 4 Year Old HORSE FARM TRIPS – 5/22 and 5/24 – sign up sheets are in the coat room.  Please be advised that the farm requests only one chaperone per child and no siblings.  Thank you for your understanding.
  • Sunshine LIBRARY in closed as of May 24th.  Please return all books on or before then.  Thank you and Happy Summer Reading!!!
  • CALLING ALL YOGURT EATERS:  We are looking for Yoplait yogurt containers.  Thank you for all your donations throughout the year.  They really help out!
  • The Sunshine School follows the Pawling School district calendar.  SUNSHINE SCHOOL IS CLOSED ON FRIDAY 5/25.
  • 3 Yr. Old FIRE HOUSE FIELD TRIP 6/4 at 10:00.
  • SUMMER BIRTHDAYS will be celebrated on 6/11 for the 3 year old Class and 6/12 for the 4 year old Class.  Sign up sheets will be coming soon.
  • LAST FULL DAY OF CLASSES:  Monday 6/11 for the 3 Yr. Old Class and Tuesday 6/12 for the 4 Yr. Old Class.
  • 3 YR. OLD CLASS -moving up Luncheon will be on 6/13 from 10:30-12:30.  Snack sign up sheet will be coming soon.
  • 4 YR. OLD CLASS GRADUATION will be in the social hall at the Sunshine School on 6/14 at 7PM.  Please arrive a little early to find parking in the village.  Children will need to line up by 6:45 at the latest.  Thank you.

Cinco de Mayo, Number Hide and Seek, Butterflies!

Cinco de Mayo Celebration

The Sunshine students celebrated Cinco de Mayo earlier in the month.  We had our usual math lesson…. in Spanish, painted maracas, made music and had a special snack.  Thank you to Mrs. Muller for teaching us about Cinco de Mayo!

Number Hide and Seek

Ms. Amanda is getting very tricky with her number games.  The children are on the look out for numbers 7 and 8 this week.

OUR BUTTERFLIES ARE HATCHING!

A few weeks ago the children learned about the life cycle of the butterfly.  Several caterpillars took up residence and Mrs. Muller is happy to report that we have 3 new butterflies in her classroom.  Still waiting for a few cocoons to hatch and then we will set them free on the playground.
