Welcome Fall

The Sunshine School is starting to show signs of Autumn color.  The children are creating some very special art to celebrate the season.   Stop by and check out our fall tree.   See if you can find your child’s leaf.

From Mrs. Muller’s room…

Welcome to the Science and Nature room.  Mrs. Muller’s room is a world waiting to be discovered. Come in and explore the sea shells, bird nests, insects and more.  Mrs. Muller is also responsible for our cooking and gardening projects… and of course, she makes all the Sunshine School’s playdough!

We thought we would share the recipe with our friends to make at home.

PLAYDOUGH

1 Cup Flour

1/2 Cup Salt

2 Teaspoons Cream of Tartar

1 Tablespoon Cooking Oil (added to pan)

1 Cup Water + Food Coloring

Blend till smooth in a pan.  Cook over low heat, stirring constantly.  It will thicken on the bottom and lose its shine.  Remove from the pan to a countertop and knead (like bread) for 2 minutes. Store in an airtight container or a plastic bag.

ENJOY!

And when visiting Mrs. Muller’s room don’t forget to say “Hello” to the Hermit Crabs!

First Week of School

It’s an exciting first week of school.  We are so happy to meet all our new friends and welcome back the old ones.   Get ready for a great year!

Reminder:  Pumpkin Patch Trip sign up sheets are in the coat room on the board.

Other TREASURES needed:  Flour, Cream of Tartar and Salt.  Thank you!
